This photo was taken in a hurry, as I could hear voices as I turned the corner and spotted this scene. From where I was standing, it sounded as if two people were exchanging their goodbyes in the doorway, so I knew it was only a matter of time before one of them would turn and walk into my photo.

Not that I was doing anything illegal, of course, but in my experience, somebody unexpectedly walking into one of my photos could -- and has! -- lead to a confrontation, which I prefer to avoid if / whenever possible.

Fortunately, the two people talked for long enough that I was able to take this photo and walk another 75 feet down the street before they left the doorway and walked to their car, which is out of frame. In fact, I would be surprised if they even noticed Miss Abby and me ... phew!
