I have photographed this scene on several occasions, but never as clearly and cleanly as I did this time.

As the 120-second exposure was ending, the rain visible in the background arrived and started to sprinkle on Miss Abby and me.

I scooped the tripod and despite the cold, covered the borrowed camera with my jacket to keep it dry. We hustled the quarter-mile home, arriving just before the rain began for real and continued more or less for the next two days, including Christmas day. (Yes, we had a wet Christmas this year, not a white one!)
