This photo was taken using my camera in "full-spectrum" mode; i.e., without an infrared filter attached, so the sensor is exposed (no pun intended!) to all frequencies of light, both visible and non-visible.
This usually screws up focusing. Because most lenses are not apochromatic designs, they focus the different frequencies of light at different distances. But in this case, it seems the lens (a relatively modest, '80s vintage Contax 28-70 zoom) could focus the light well enough that the photo turned out decently well regardless. 8^)
