Location: Scottsdale, AZ
The annual monsoon season is upon us! Many (most?) people don't realize this, but the Arizona desert receives most of its annual rainfall during the hot summer months.
The rain often comes late in the day, which makes for very dramatic skies at sunset, as evidenced by this photo, which I took this past Thursday evening.
It's not great art, to be sure, but I believe it's good practice for the day when everything does come together in the right place, at the right time, and great art does somehow conspire to happen...
P.S.: For the benefit of those who haven't visited here recently, this photo was taken using a camera I modified to record infrared light, hence the pervasive red tint.
