10053 ... for the nth time

I hadn't planned on taking this photo, but was walking back to my house after a sunset outing to other parts of my neighborhood and was about 50' away when the two outside lights were turned on almost simultaneously.

The first light was the backyard security light for the house on the far right side of the frame. Maybe three seconds later, the light by the front door of the house in the center was turned on as well.

Knowing that security lights usually turn off again after just a minute or two, I hustled to get my camera setup and barely managed to capture this photo before it turned off again. (This is why one should learn how to operate their camera blindfolded and in the dark, because knowing exactly what to do and in the proper order is what makes it possible to capture opportunistic photos such as this one instead of missing them.)

Alas, the scene with just the one light lit wasn't nearly as interesting, so I considered myself lucky to have been in exactly the right place, at exactly the right time (for a change!), then packed up my camera and continued walking home, where there was literally an ice-cold Mexican Coke-and-rum waiting for me. (Right before I left, I put a bottle of warm Mexican Coke in the freezer and it was just starting to freeze over and turn slushy when I retrieved it...)
