Sometimes my photos come together in an almost surreal way that surprises even me. Which is strange when you think about it, because I'm the one who took the photos, so you'd think I would know what I've actually captured!

But this isn't always the case when I photograph with infrared light, because what I see on the camera's LCD while I'm working in the field often looks very different from what I will eventually see on my computer monitor once I have returned home and started post-processing my files.

Which has both its good and points: Good, because it allows me to exercise creativity instead of photographing in a purely documentary way, but also bad, because I have surprisingly little control over the process, which does not always sit well with me. 8^/
