This is another photo taken during another pre-sunrise walk with my dog, Miss Abby. I started the first exposure at 4:19 am -- remember, for my nighttime photography, I take from 7 to 15 identical exposures and blend them during post-processing to reduce any noise and increase the signal-to-noise ratio -- and the last exposure at 4:35 am.

I am usually able to capture seven exposures in three to five minutes or so, but in this case, I was hindered by the streetlight further along the sidewalk being on the fritz, because I could only take an exposure when it was on and this happened only for a 20-25 second period roughly every three minutes. And I had to work very quickly because the exposure was 15 seconds and I tripped the shutter with a two-second delay, so there were only a few seconds to spare before the streetlight blinked off again.

So I did a lot of standing around and for me, this isn't one of the fun parts about photography. But I do like the final result and really, that's all that matters... 8^)
