As expected, our wet winter turned into a lush spring and in the desert, "lush" is code for pollen. Lots and lots of pollen.

These past few weeks have been awful for me, a lifelong allergy sufferer, and I have tried to stay indoors as much as I possibly can as a result.

The last time I ventured outside with a camera -- or more importantly, to accompany Miss Abby on a walk -- was March 24th.

Until this past Sunday, that is, when her big, sad, woe-is-me eyes finally caused me to give in, grab a leash and poop bag, as well as my camera, throw caution to the wind and take her for a quick (30-minute) walk around the neighborhood.

To my surprise, I remembered how to use my camera and after a few throwaway, warm-up photos, I got down to business and took this photo, among others, during our walk.
