Oakesville, WA grain storage complex

I'm not much into panoramic photography -- if anything, I gravitate toward the square format -- but for many of the scenes I photographed on my recent outing, a panoramic format just seemed correct.

This is helped by the fact that I use a 7" external HDMI monitor as part of my camera rig and this allows me to display different formats, including 2.35:1 -- aka the Widescreen Cinemascope aspect ratio, which is well known to movie lovers -- so I can actually compose my photo in a panoramic format and not just crop it to a pano later, during post-processing. Which is exactly what I did with this photo.
