My homage to Microsoft's Bliss screensaver...

Location: The Palouse region of southeast Washington

This photo was taken at 4:29 am, which was approx. 25 minutes before sunrise arrived hence the overwhelming blue sky. (A lot of people don't know there are actually two "blue hours" each day, with the first one occurring in the morning before sunrise and the second one in the evening after sunset.)

A running joke of mine during the trip is that I wanted to capture a photo for Microsoft to include as a screensaver for some future product and then use the six-figure sum they will happily pay me to license it to fund several future photo outings for me and my friends. Well, as luck would have it, I found and photographed exactly the scene I had hoped to find, and I've decided to share it here first.

Now, all I have to do is sit back and wait for Microsoft to see it posted here then call me with their opening offer ... right? (Yeah, right!)
