Just as I started to take the series of seven photos that I used to create this single photo, a car pulled in front of this house, just outside the frame to the right. This happens more often than you might expect, at least in this neighborhood. As the driver got out of the car and approached me, I thought to myself "here we go again."

But I was wrong. It turns out the house didn't belong him -- he lives across the street in a newly constructed house -- and he's an artist, so his curiosity about what I was doing had nothing whatsoever to do with the notion that I was violating his right to privacy, etc. And as I'll always do when I'm approached in a civil manner, I spent a few minutes explaining my project and showing him the photos that I had taken earlier on my outing that night.

Unfortunately, he's a new resident to the area, so had no knowledge of its history to share with me. But he was enthusiastic about what I'm doing and wished me luck with my project as we parted. 8^)
