Location: New York city

Speaking of cellphones, these kids are walking along the High Line park, with its spectacular, elevated views of the lower west side of Manhattan, and yet they have their heads down and eyes focused on the screens of their cellphones. If they are tourists, why aren't they doing what tourists do and looking around? And if they are locals, then why are they on the High Line, which follows a meandering path for just over two miles, instead of taking the more direct routes available on the streets below?
