I very rarely photograph abstracts. Not because I don't like them -- I do, sometimes very much! -- but because my "eye" is simply not attuned to them. My vision, such as it is, is more of a zoom-out, big picture one than a zoom-in, detail-oriented one (hence the reason I love wide-angle lenses and rarely use telephoto ones.) But sometimes a scene catches my eye regardless, as was the case here with these stripes in a parking lot I was passing through on my way to photograph something ostensibly more interesting.
