Hi. I have one question to you: what do you like in your photos? Please, don't think that is any attack or criticism. Last time I just like to know, what another people think about his(they?) photos and why they do it. For example this photo. It is good composed, has very nice tone play, but I don't understand what would you like to express by this photo. Only a visual sensation or something else?
Sorry for my bad english:)

@groszek: This is an interesting question (and I’m surprised it didn’t come up sooner, as this was the 250th image I’ve posted here) and the answer depends upon whether you are asking about this image in particular or my work in general.
If it’s the former, this image is part of a current project I call The Presidents, in which I’m documenting what remains of the historic warehouse district in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. The title of this project reflects the fact that many of the streets in the area were named after American Presidents: Monroe, Adams, Washington, Jefferson, etc.
If it’s the latter, then that is a bit more difficult for me to answer, as I am exploring a number of different themes simultaneously – emptiness, loneliness, desolation, solitude, fear – as well as photographing the vintage architecture I love. I find each of my images represents a unique mixture of all these characteristics. Understand also that many of the areas where I am photographing are in parts of town where most people will not dare go at night and as a result, they will never see the “beauty” that exists there except through my photographs.
I hope that I have answered your question, but if not, feel free to drop me a note and I’ll try again.
(P.S.: Your English is fine and far, far better than my Polish!)
Great tones...beautiful lighting! I can see this as a poster size photo hanging on my wall. Bravo!

@Don Levesque: I'd like to see that too ... fire up your checkbook and I can make this happen for you! ;-)
Excellent crisp monotone! I liked your explanation above, it does add a little depth but sometimes just beauty alone is great!
